AIMD Mission Statement

"AIMD's mission is to forge better working relationships between bi- and multilateral donor and lending agencies and the association community, and thereby assist associations in launching and/or expanding their services to international markets through the use of funds for international development assistance."

Our goals are twofold

First, to identify and assist in the procurement of government sponsored grants and contracts for members of the association community, and in so doing, enable associations to develop and/or enhance their international presence.

Second, to provide a forum for the association community and agencies that administer international programs to enhance their dialogue, build mutual awareness, and broaden collaboration.

AIMD serves as a gateway between associations and the international lending agencies that sponsor programs promoting international development. AIMD envisions that such programs will be greatly enriched by the talents and resources of the association community. Associations will in turn benefit from cost-effective opportunities to expand their global reach.
