Michael Unger, PhD., Specialist in International Business and Finance/Operations Management, Joins Plexus Consulting Group
(Washington, DC - 22 June 2005) - Plexus Consulting Group, a Washington, DC-based firm specializing in assisting associations, foundations, corporations, governments, and other organizations in multiple practice areas, has named Michael L. Unger PhD., an Associate Professor of Management and International Business at the Loyola College in Maryland, as a Senior Advisor. In this role, Unger will be responsible for assisting in International Development projects, bringing his expertise in this field as well as in Finance and Operations Management.
Dr. Unger is a senior international financial, trade and investment economist with more than 25 years of professional and academic experience, in over 35 countries. He has advised USAID Missions and emerging market economies in the areas of international finance, capital market development, business, trade, and investment policies.
Before joining USAID, Dr. Unger served as Director of the International Division at the Federal Home Loan Bank Board where he provided technical assistance to emerging market economies on the development of primary and secondary mortgage finance markets. Prior to this he was an economist in international affairs at the U.S. Treasury Department where he specialized in developing country finance issues.
